So, I'm in Perth!!
What am I doing here?? Not sure...
There is two thing I really wanted to see on the west coast: Rottnest Island and the bicentennial tree. The first one is easy, just a ferry ride away from the city. The other one is a little bit more complicated. Or I should say I'm making it too complicated. Don't want to go on a tour. I wanted to find someone to go with but again turned into something not fun, so I guess I'm going on my own. Which mean I have to do a little bit of planing for my road trip. Since I woke up early, I decided to get up and get to it. That way I could enjoy my day in the city.
I can't explain why, but I like Perth. It feel relaxed, and after spending the last week in a Floridian weather, it felt good to be back to something cooler and dryer.
I didn't really had a plan of where I should go and wasn't feeling like making one. I just went for a walk and see what come across my way.
I only knew about the Bell Tower. When I arrived there, I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay to be able to go on top or not, but it wasn't too expensive so I went. And I made the good choice. I just arrived in time to participate at the last Bell Handling Demonstration of the day. A lady tough us how to ring those big bells, fun time :). And the view from the top of the tower was nice too.
I walk a little more in the city, before going back to my hostel and went for a run.
Today was the best day I had in the last week. I saw a lot of nice thing the last couple of day, but was still feeling a little crapy, not really in the mood for travel anymore. But I think those days are gone, ready and excited for the rest of my trip!!
