Not much to say about today. I’m flying to Darwin from Alice Spring, plan B since I’m not going there with my travelmate anymore.
When I arrived there, I felt like I was back in Florida. It’s as warm and humid, didn’t miss that at all…
I was supposed to go visit Kakadu National Park with someone, so I booked a tour for Litchfield national park.
When I arrived, I met with the guy and well, it wasn’t going to work for me. He had some trouble with his car, he had an appointment for it on Tuesday and wasn’t sure when we would be able to go. Not feeling like keeping waiting on people, I made the decision to go on my own and rent a mini camper. Not sure it was the best idea, but I felt like I’ve been doing ok so fare so I can do it!!
That done, I went for a short walk in the city. The flight, the heat and everything going on lately is making me feeling really tired. Traveling can be exhausting!!

So for today, I went exploring the city a little bit more.
I went to the different places the person at the information center told me there is something to see. It’s a nice small city, but walking around with the heat and humidity is making not enjoyable at all.
I was feeling like going to the beach for a swim, but forget about that. Between the Box Jellyfishes and the crocodiles, it’s strongly recommended not to swim :(
Almost forgot, today is Anzac Day. A holiday to commemorate the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during WWI. They had a parade, nothing like the mardi gras ones. It’s really formal, veterans and all kind of military divisions, walking in row, with their neat uniform and everything. It’s was nice to see it.
In the evening, I went to see the sunset at mindil beach, a must do here. It was nice, I love sunset, and it made me feel once again like I was back in Florida.
