And it’s already our last day in the red center!! We are going to spend it at King Canyon, in Watarrka National Park.
We went for the big hike, going up on the canyon and walking along the rime. It’s a beautiful place, big gorge and all of those domes on top that look like they go to never end, love it. My favorite place in Australia so far.
The hike was nice, not too hard, and for once our not so warm weather was nice. Not sure I would have like it soo much by 40°c…
After the hike, since there were nothing else to do in the area, we got back on the road for our final destination, Alice Spring.
We were half way there when we got a flat tire, great!! We had a spare wheel but to get to it, we had to unload all of our stuff in the trunk, fun time. What was even more fun was that the only guy in the car didn’t know how to change a tire, couldn’t believed it. The worst part about it was that he started to do it while we were getting the spare out, and the way he started to do it could have messed up the whole suspension! Is it so hard for a guy to ask a girl if she know how to do it??
So, since it was one of the first thing my dad taught me when I started driving, I took charge of the thing. We had all of the tools, but were missing the cross tool for the bolts. And it's when things got from bad to worst. He went back in the car saying he had an idea of what to use and came back out with a small foldable pliers, sure that it would work, WTF!! Almost lost it, I'm really patient, but it was getting to much. Hopefully after looking a bit more, we found the tool and with my instruction, been able to change the wheel.
So back on the road and arrived safely in Alice Spring, our last night of camping together, and it was freezing!!
