Well, it is raining this morning, but no wind, if it doesn’t get worst I think I can deal with it…
Today’s plan is going to go to Otorohanga to the Kiwi House and after to Hamilton for the night.
After 2 1/2 months in NZ, I finally saw some Kiwis :). They are kind of weird looking, with their long beak and no wings, but at the same time they're kind of cute, would have like to cuddle with them!
I was there when they fed them so I've been able to see them really well. And it was amazing seeing how they interact with their keeper, made me want to change my job ;)

And there were a bunch of other native birds too.
And for Hamilton, well it's a city, not much to it for me... So I found a swimming pool and went for a swim. Need to keep my tri training on ;)

The only kiwi I've been able to take a picture of |
Tuatara |
NZ falcon |
Kakariki |
I learn through that guy that birds can have hiccups |
Australian goose |
White oystercatcher |
Tui |
Kaka |
Kea |
German howl |
Never seen a kiwi before. I agree with you, weird looking yet kinda cute...
ReplyDeleteThe Kakariki look a lot like my Onslow but a lot smarter ;)
