Saying goodbye to the south and slowly making my way back north.
I'm going to Lake Tekapo, close from the Mt Cook National Park.
Tekapo is know for it's sky observatory. It doesn't rain much in the area and the sky is usually clear of clouds. They are very strict about light pollution, which make it the ideal place to see the stars and other things in the sky.
Since I'm really lucky, it was super cloudy that night, so no stars :(

Because of my great organisation, I had to change hostel. The place I was at open the reception at 8:30, my shuttle being at 7:40, I couldn't leave my bag in their storage for the day. That meant up at 6:30am to pack my stuff and walk the 15 min that separate the 2 places so I could leave my bag at the new place. What a fun way to start the day...
So after that nice and early morning (I slept in the bus almost the all way there....) I arrived in Mt Cook National Park. Once there, I had to figure out what I wanted to do, that's how well I prepare my trip ;)
I had the choice between a few walk, and I had to choose the hardest one, because other wise it's not fun... One again what is wrong with me, why can't I just go for an nice and easy flat walk??
So, have you ever been up a mountain using a stairway?? After today I can say I did!! Not that I needed to ever do it, I hate stairs, they're hard going up and even worst going down. But all that pain, once again, was worth it!!

I had to share with you how a mountain staircase looks like... And I google it, there is more than 2200 steps...
Second and last night here, hoping it would be better than the first one, but guess what?? It was raining... No stars for me here...
